Waterloo Road is currently being shown on Thursday's BBC1 at 8pm! Waterloo Road is shown on Thursday's, 8pm, BBC1 - currently airing is the third part (episodes 21-30) of the eighth series. Character profiles for the current series are available here: Current Students and Current Adults. 

At the end of Waterloo Road's latest term we saw Scout leave for University, Connor and Imogen marry in secret from both their parents, Chalky leave to accept his dream job of designing computer games/apps in London and Grantly was rushed into hospital with kidney failure, quite a busy time for everyone on Waterloo Road!

And there's lots more to come this term, Daniela Nardini  joins the school as "passionate, driven but maverick" science teacher who has an unconventional approach too inspiring her pupils and the appearance of Dynasty's ex-boyfriend, Steve-O, rocks the school!

Waterloo Road are currently filming Series 9, confirmed cast for this series are: Abby Mavers (Dynasty), Brogan Ellis (Kacey), Carl Au (Barry), Heather Peace (Nikki), Kane Tomlinson-Weaver (Harley), Kirstie Steele (Imogen), Laurie Brett (Christine), Marlene Madenge (Lula), Melanie Hill (Maggie) Philip Martin Brown (Grantly), Rebecca Craven (Rhiannon), Shane O’Meara (Connor) and Tommy Lawrence-Knight (Kevin). Cast that are leaving during the final episodes of Series 8 and will not returning to Series 9 are: Jason Done (Tom), Alec Newman (Michael), Daniela Denby-Ashe (Lorraine), Adiza Shardow (Liberty) and Taylor Rhys (Jack McAllister). George Sampson as Kyle Stack returns

Every teacher’s worst nightmare, Kyle makes his way to Waterloo Road’s new Scottish home, the reasons for his return are being kept under wraps. George will film his scenes on location in Greenock, Scotland from this week (cont.)
